It has a uni‑directional response for optimum performance even in noisy conditions, and has low susceptibility to interference from mobile phones. Functions:

Controls and Indicators. Red or green illuminator. Red indicates microphone is active, green indicates request-to-speak accepted.
Interconnections. Connector to plug and fasten the microphone.
