Features
JPEG 2000 encoding
The SCC2000 system can operate as a standalone JPEG 2000 encoder or as part of a visualization farm for high-speed coding. Each module of the render farm, that is, the node, independently processes a packet of frame images received from the SCC2000. By optimizing the centralized storage and visualization node system, JPEG 2000 (2K or 4K) encoding is provided in real time or faster. The system has the ability to expand in accordance with the growing needs of the business. The Dolby JPEG 2000 encoder creates 2K or 4K files according to DCI specifications. The encoder uses unique optimization algorithms that allow users to select profiles for different types of content (such as field surveys or computer graphics) to ensure the best coding results. Other user-configurable options, such as final data rate, allow each material to be encoded according to individual needs. Quality control tools support coding analysis and display graphs of the peak signal-to-noise ratio and data rate for each coding.
Composer
Dolby Composer software enables users to quickly and easily prepare a DCP package. Thanks to the drag-and-drop interface, you can easily add sound, image, subtitles, and packet attributes such as encryption, content type, and metadata to the DCP packet. Dolby Composer also makes it easy to manage multiple versions of the same package by using shared resources in one project and adding additional tracks (for example, with comments).
Packager
Dolby Packager creates distributed DCP packages. For this purpose, materials from one or several DCPs are taken, all the necessary files for distribution are created and the materials are safely and reliably delivered to the server. To check the integrity of the data, material schemas and packing lists are required; Dolby Packager allows you to quickly and easily create such files.
Cosmos Database
The SCC2000 integrates with the Cosmos database, which is a highly secure, redundant database that provides simple and reliable administration of KDM keys. Web-based access gives users the most flexibility, and round-the-clock support ensures uninterrupted operation and efficient KDM key management.
